The Second Day Of Christmas

Noel

Definition: Noel- Christmas

Hey guys and welcome back to The Faith Filled Friends. We are in the Christmas mood once again as we count the days until Christmas. We are on our second day of our “Twelve Days Til Christmas” series. We hope you enjoy as we talk about the first Christmas. Let’s dive into it!

Twelve Days Of Christmas

Noel- Love & The Outcome

‘…The First Noel the angel did say
Was to certain poor shepherds
in fields as they lay;
In fields where they lay, keeping their sheep,
On a cold winter’s night that was so deep…’

There are so many great covers of Christmas classics like “The First Noel”, but I have really enjoyed Love & The Outcome’s version.

Noel literally means Christmas. And as I have been listening to my Christmas music I have really felt the importance of one thing, the first Noel, the first Christmas.

Luke‬ ‭2:11-12
“Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is the Messiah, the Lord. This will be a sign to you: You will find a baby wrapped in cloths and lying in a manger.”

‘…The sorrow all around us
At last will be made right
The age of hopeless darkness
Will finally end tonight…’

Christmas is the most wonderful time of the year, and why? Is it because of the presents, the food, the time off, the weather or the time we get to spend with our families? No, it is the hope that a baby brought to the world.

All sorrow, all sadness, all sin was made right. All because of a baby boy who was born in a manger.

‘…Our hope and all our longing
Are met in thee tonight…’

‘…Hallelujah, all the earth adores
Singing, Emmanuel, God with us…’

It’s Christmas, and that is amazing! But this year, we want the world to be focus of what really matters, that first Christmas. On Jesus.

‘…Noel ohohoh, ohohoh
Noel ohohoh, ohohoh…’

God Bless
