Scripture Saturday: Made New

Scripture Saturday

Hey guys and welcome back to The Faith Filled Friends. We are so glad to have you join us tonight. In this devotion we will be looking at scripture and what it means to us and in our life. Let’e dive into it!

Scripture Saturday

1 Peter 1:13-16
“Therefore, with minds that are alert and fully sober, set your hope on the grace to be brought to you when Jesus Christ is revealed at his coming. As obedient children, do not conform to the evil desires you had when you lived in ignorance. But just as he who called you is holy, so be holy in all you do; for it is written: “Be holy, because I am holy.””

I have been meditating on this scripture that God has given me. It is really powerful and I encourage you all to go and highlight it.

God has called us to leave behind our sinful pasts and sometimes presents. There is a better life waiting, although it might seem harder, it is better.

This is a message we all need to hear. To not conform but to go against what is easy in this world. Sin is so tempting and attractive but it only causes pain. Let it go and strive for Christ.

Finally, you may be wondering why I used “Made New”… Because it’s a great song, that’s why! God has made us new, He has put to death our sin and old self. So let it go. Let the ashes fall from your hands as you step into a new life.

Go and meditate on the passage as I believe God has a lot to reveal in this short passage. You will be amazed at what God does when you wait on Him.

Be encouraged this weekend. Remember to never lose sight of the Kingdom of God! Press on.

God Bless
