Scripture Saturday: Sing
Hey guys and welcome back to The Faith Filled Friends. We are so glad to have you join us today for another devotion. Today we are going to be looking at an amazing two verse from Psalm 59. The bible is absolutely amazing. So let’s dive into it!
“But I will sing of your strength, in the morning I will sing of your love; for you are my fortress, my refuge in times of trouble. You are my strength, I sing praise to you; you, God, are my fortress, my God on whom I can rely.”
Today I was going through some old papers in my files and I found a piece of paper with only, “Psalm 59:16” written on it.
So, of course I grabbed my bible and I read Psalm 59 and it is an awesome Psalm. But the way the Psalm ends is what sticks with me.
The Psalm talks about the troubles and the evil in this world and that is why this verse starts with “but”. It is David saying there is a lot of bad, but God is bigger. Even though there is bad, David will sing.
I believe it is so important that in ever circumstance we sing praise to God. He is worthy. He is strong. He is our fortress and He is our refuge. We have so much to sing for.
Even though there is pain and evil in this world, we will forever sing because God is greater!
We want to encourage you to learn this verse and keep it in your hearts. Life gets hard but this verse will encourage you to still find joy and strength in the Lord.
Whatever may come, Jesus has already overcome! Let’s sing His praise.
