Throwback Thursday: Guard Your Heart

Guard Your Heart

Hey guys and welcome to The Faith Filled Friends. Today we will be reading a scripture from the bible. Worship is more than just a song, it is our action. When we spend time with God and when we study His word, we are worshipping Him. So never underestimate the power of time with Jesus. Let’s dive into it!

Proverbs 4:23
“Above all else, guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it.”

‭‭
This will be a focus for us as a Christian family and community. I really believe that God wants to use this verse to change our lives. There is so much in this world that wants to tear us away from God. It pulls at our heart strings trying to find a way in. But the verse also continues on.

Proverbs 4:23-27
“Above all else, guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it.
Keep your mouth free of perversity; keep corrupt talk far from your lips.
Let your eyes look straight ahead; fix your gaze directly before you.
Give careful thought to the paths for your feet and be steadfast in all your ways.
Do not turn to the right or the left; keep your foot from evil.”

Evil is evil. Wrong is wrong.

It can seem so hard to decide what is right and what is wrong, but most of the time we know what is right and what is wrong. It is so hard to stay on the straight and narrow some times. There is pain and sorrow all around us.

But like the verse says, “Let your eyes look straight ahead; fix your gaze directly before you.” When we fix our eyes on Jesus we walk in the light and in the way of the right. It can get hard with everything around us, like tidal waves, trying to pull our attention away from Jesus. But only Jesus is the WAY, the TRUTH and the LIFE!

Let’s meditate on this word and let God change our hearts.

God Bless
