MATTER- Matter

Hey guys and welcome back to The Faith Filled Friends. Also, welcome to the title devotion for our series, “Matter”. We have really enjoyed writing the devotions for this series and today we want to wrap it all up nicely. So, if you have enjoyed this series or want to continue talking about this topic, just let us know. So, let’s dive into it!

Matter- for King & Country

‘…All of the dreams that haven’t come true
And all of the hurt that happened to you
It matters, I hope you know it matters…’

Everything in this life matters. Every word we speak and everything we do.

Your life matters.

We have discussed how you are loved. God loves us all so much. There was one person who chose to love me, the very person I betrayed and spat at, the Creator of the Universe! I am loved more than I could possibly imagine. Why would God love me after what I did to Him? I don’t know. But I can tell you that grace doesn’t always make sense.

We have talked about how God made us flawless. We are all broken, but God came and mended our broken lives. We are clay in the potter’s hands. When we break He will reshape us. When we seem too far gone, He can always make us new! Our God is a miracle working God. He renews and restores us.

You and I are beloved. In our “Beloved” devotion, we gave five reason to prove that God exists and that He loves you. We just need to remember that we are beloved. We have a purpose and we have a future. There is hope in the love of Christ.

In this series we also spoke about how God calls us beautiful. We are all a work of art, God’s handiwork.

Psalm‬ ‭139:13-18
“For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my motherʼs womb.
I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well.
My frame was not hidden from you when I was made in the secret place, when I was woven together in the depths of the earth.
Your eyes saw my unformed body; all the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be.
How precious to me are your thoughts, God! How vast is the sum of them!
Were I to count them, they would outnumber the grains of sand— when I awake, I am still with you

God put a price tag on us when He came and died for us. Our price: priceless! We were made in the image of God and when we fell, we needed to be saved. Only God Himself could save us and He did. He loves us so much. If you still think that you don’t matter, then you haven’t been reading our devotions. It is so clear that God loves us.

So where do you find your identity?

When God stepped on this Earth He was already signing our adoption papers. He signed it in the blood of Jesus. We are apart of His family now. When we know that and find our identity in Him, we know that we truly matter.

So do you know that you matter? What more can we say to make you believe?

‘…To the one who spoke and set the sun ablaze
To the one who stopped the storm and walked the waves
To the one who took the tree so He could say
You matter, I hope you know you matter…’

You matter to Jesus.

It is as simple as that. We can’t say anything more. God has made you flawless and you have been adopted into His great family. He took the nails and the cross for us.

‘…Let the water spill from your eyes
Let it wash the wounds of those lies
Oh, let the water spill from your eyes
All that you are, all that you’ll be
Someone put the beat in your heart so that you’ll see
You matter…’

We matter.

And you better believe it!

Thank you so much for joining us during this series. It has been a blast learning about how great God’s love is.

Just remember… YOU MATTER!

God Bless
