Living In The Psalms
Hey guys and welcome back to The Faith Filled Friends! It is great to be back and we are so excited to dive into another Psalm. Living out the Psalms looks like living in the love of Christ. So today we will be looking at Psalm 24, a psalm about how glorious our Lord is. The King of Glory is worthy to be praised. Let’s dive into it.
“The earth is the Lord ʼs, and everything in it, the world, and all who live in it; for he founded it on the seas and established it on the waters.
Who may ascend the mountain of the Lord? Who may stand in his holy place? The one who has clean hands and a pure heart, who does not trust in an idol or swear by a false god.
They will receive blessing from the Lord and vindication from God their Savior. Such is the generation of those who seek him, who seek your face, God of Jacob.
Lift up your heads, you gates; be lifted up, you ancient doors, that the King of glory may come in. Who is this King of glory? The Lord strong and mighty, the Lord mighty in battle. Lift up your heads, you gates; lift them up, you ancient doors, that the King of glory may come in.
Who is he, this King of glory? The Lord Almighty— he is the King of glory.”
Our God is so incredibly and indescribable. How do we describe the very being who spoke us into existence? The Lord is amazing and we can’t grasp how much He has done for us.
He created our universe and everything in it. We are no accident and we are not formed by chance. God made no mistake when He created humans. But we chose to walk away from God. Now, how can we possible be in the presence of a Holy God? We need to be holy and pure ourselves, but that is impossible. So Jesus took our place so we can now enter into the presence of the Lord our God.
He is the King of glory, the king above all kings.
