Message Monday: Rest
Hey guys and welcome back to The Faith Filled Friends. I just wanted to say thank you to everyone that reads our devotions. We are so grateful to have you and your feedback. Thank you to the team here on The Faith Filled Friends, because this website wouldn’t work without you guys! Special thanks to Josh for all his work and faithfulness. Thanks for always praying and believing for the team and for me. We are so blessed to have this opportunity to talk about Jesus to every person around the world. All the glory to God!
This week I will be on a Christian Union camp so Josh will be running things on the website so you can all thank him. So here is our message for this Monday!
Is it good to be hungry and thirsty for Jesus? Yes and no.
If you don’t know God then it makes sense to be hungry for Him. We also must never settle for a mediocre relationship with God. So why is this a bad thing?
Many today actually glorify the search for more. They glorify the hunger and the searching for Jesus above… Jesus! They tell us that we need to “hunger” for more of God. They tell us that we should “thirst” for more of Jesus. But does God say this?
John 6:35- “He who comes to me will never go hungry, and he who believes in me will never be thirsty”
So rest this week. Let God move in you and change you. We need to always pursue God, but this should not be a pride or a boastful thing but it should be the sheer desire to want to know God more.
