Where I Belong
Hey guys and welcome back to The Faith Friends. Today we want to encourage you to not hold onto the things of this world. If you live a life where you just hold on you will lose. So let’s jump into some scripture.
Acts 2:22-24~ Fellow Israelites, listen to this: Jesus of Nazareth was a man accredited by God to you by miracles, wonders and signs, which God did among you through him, as you yourselves know. This man was handed over to you by God’s deliberate plan and foreknowledge; and you, with the help of wicked men, put him to death by nailing him to the cross. But God raised him from the dead, freeing him from the agony of death, because it was impossible for death to keep its hold on him.
Jesus lived on Earth for thirty three years and His ministry lasted three years. But look at the impact He has made! We talk about the son of a carpenter even today, over two thousand years later. Jesus came and did the miraculous, but He knew His home was not of Earth.
We are the same. We are passing through this life. We chose whether or not we hold onto this life of make a difference. Jesus defeated death and now we are free indeed. We need to let go of the worldly possessions and take a hold of what matters.
Let’s make the most of our lives. Let’s love others, even the ones that we find hard to love. Let’s give up our time and our money so that we can be love on this Earth. Don’t be afraid of letting these things go.
This is not where we belong. So what are we going to do about it?
2 Timothy 1:7- For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.
Don’t worry about the things on Earth, for they will fade away one day but God will return for us and the souls we saved.
I have done a devotion on this song before but here it is again.
