Scripture Saturday

Scripture Saturday

Hey guys and welcome to The Faith Filled Friends, Scripture Saturday. We will be getting into the bible, mainly James chapter 1. This will just be an encouraging word to help grow is in the way of Jesus. So I hope this helps encourage you this week. Let’s dive in.

James 1:2-8
“Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance. Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything. If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you. But when you ask, you must believe and not doubt, because the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind. That person should not expect to receive anything from the Lord. Such a person is double-minded and unstable in all they do.”

We will face trials in this life, no questions about it, you would have already faced trials by now. Everyone does and it is just a part of this life. This life is a life of ups and downs, hills and valleys. When we get used to this flow we understand that it is not God punishing us but instead it is just how life works in this broken world. A world that is distant for God.

We can also find our lives in these similar patterns, ups and downs. We are sometimes so full of faith that we want to go out and change the world. Some days there is such a fire and a passion in our lives. But other days we can wake up with no faith what so ever. We can wake up and try fix all our problems by ourselves and we totally ignore the fact that God is right there. We ignore that He did a miracle just the other day! We try to face these things on our own sometimes and this is the worst decision we can make.

God is there, ready to help. You may be running low on energy and passion at the moment but God wants to bless you. He wants to pour out some new life into you and restore your strength. But we must no let our focus slide, because all our strength is from God. He is the God of the impossible. Never let His light leave your sight. Grow in the light of Jesus and you will prosper and bare the fruit.

God Bless
