Masterpiece

Matthew 5:48 – You therefore must be perfect, as your Heavenly Father is perfect.

Hey darls! It seems like such a long time since I last delivered the devotion for you all, and I am super excited for today’s topic. As you can see, this devotion is titled masterpiece. I will be discussing the way in which God sees us and how we are His creation and His masterpieces in this world. I really do hope you enjoy this devotion.

One thing which has always really fascinated me my whole life in fact, is people. There are just so many of them and yes, they are literally everywhere! I know, I know, you’re probably all thinking, what is so fascinating about a person? They are just another body in this world who can walk and talk and has their various own talents. We encounter people every day of our lives, whether it is at school, university, our part time job, our social groups, or just hanging out with our friends. They are just one of the many people who make up the population of this world. You may also be thinking, “Caitie, are you feeling ok today? You’re talking about how you have a fascination for people? Why in fact are you so fascinated?” Yes, everyone, I am feeling just fine. May this devotion answer all of your questions!

For in this world we see each other as just people. Humans. As species. Through all of this we are forgetting just one very important thing . . . We are each all an individual, unique, beautiful, timeless, priceless, stunning, amazing, breath taking, angelic, serene, flawless and incomparable creation of God. God created us so beautifully and perfectly, and He created us because we have a purpose, and He has a reason for why He has granted us a place on this earth. It all started off with Him, and it will all finish with Him. His will, will be done.

There are so many circumstances in our lives where we try to be great at everything, and we’re not. The reality is that we aren’t perfect and we never will be, but we are made through perfect love. We have a God who is our Father. He loves us more than we will ever know. He sent Jesus, His one and only son, down from heaven to earth, so that we can be free people to this very day. We are so blessed. Thank you Jesus, thankyou God.

1 John 4:18 – There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear, because fear has to do with punishment. The one who fears is not made perfect in love.

Psalm 139:14 – I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Wonderful are your works; my soul knows it very well.

We see ourselves as anything but a masterpiece. We get caught up with the materialistic things of this world, we make mistakes, and sometimes we feel like we just can’t be the person we are wanting and hoping to be. Remember, you are a masterpiece. No matter what way you see yourself, we are the most beautiful creation in the eyes of God. He will look past all of the things which often stand in our way and prevent us from seeing the true us. These things can be in the past, in the future to come or the feelings we are having at this present time. When we are confident in knowing that we have Jesus and our Heavenly Father God, we have everything. There is never any room to doubt through the eyes of Jesus Christ, and when we stay fixated on Him and all of the things He has done, we can see the masterpiece which He is, and how we have more than enough worth to Him. Never let doubt be the tsunami of your mind, let the love of God take over. He will make it right.

Heavenly Father, I thankyou for this beautiful life, a life where You have given us purpose and direction, Your love is like no other Lord, incomparable to any other. I praise You Lord for creating so many beautiful people in this world, people who make up our community and who make up the population of this world. You will be glorified for all creation, and everything You have yet to come in this world. Your love and glory will reign forever. In Jesus Name I pray, Amen.

God Bless you all,
