Psalm 27:1 The Lord is my light and my salvation—whom shall I fear? The Lord is the stronghold of my life— of whom shall I be afraid?
Hey Everyone, I hope you are all having a great day. This song, ‘Whom Shall I Fear’ by Chris Tomlin is based on Psalm 27:1 and reminds us that we have no reason to fear when God is with us, which is a great encouragement.
We have just had Easter and reflected on Jesus’ death and resurrection, we have seen that He is strong enough to save and that He is mighty enough to conquer death. We might be weak on our own, but with God anything is possible. Whatever we may face, we can be reminded to take comfort in God that He is standing beside us.
In those times where we might feel alone, abandoned or vulnerable, we can be confident that God is in control of every detail of our lives, and that He will give us courage and strength in our times of need.
So whom shall we fear? No one when God is on our side.
Psalm 23:4 Even though I walk through the darkest valley, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me.
Isaiah 41:10 So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand
I thank you Lord that we have no reason to fear when you are with us. In those times when we are afraid, I pray you will help us to trust in you and to be confident in what you have done for us. In Jesus name I pray, Amen.
