Scripture Saturday: Glory

Scripture Saturday

Job 26:14
“And these are but the outer fringe of his works; how faint the whisper we hear of him! Who then can understand the thunder of his power?””

Hey guys and welcome back to another devotion. If you joined us last night (I forgot to post the devotion and only got home late (Youth is awesome)), then you would remember that we discussed God’s glory. I think that it is very important that we remember who God is. God is God! He can do all things, He spoke this world into existence.

Our God is an awesome God, hey! It is crazy to think that we actually believe that we understand God. He lives outside of our universe and all it’s laws, yet we think we know Him. Our God reigns above all the Earth. His power and His love exceeds our understanding.

I love the Phil Wickham song, “Starmaker (Above The Earth)”. It reminds us of the splendour and wonder which is the God we serve. He created everything! Not just a world, but all the laws and physics and science within the world. It is amazing! We can’t help but stand in awe.

Let us never forget that this is the same God that sent His son Jesus to die for the creations that turned their backs on Him. After all our mess, He still loved us enough to send His son to die the most brutal death to save us. This is the same God who paints the skies, who made the stars, who crafted the oceans and who made us. This all powerful God still loves us enough to die for us.

This is a glorious God that we serve and love. Let’s never look at this world and take it for granted because our God is so gracious and glorious.

God Bless!
