Magnificent Love

Magnificent Love

How beautiful is our Lord? I
He is with us everyday in all His splendour. His love shines in life all around us. No one else can compare to the magnificent God who calls us His children!

Hey guys and welcome back to another The Faith Filled Friends devotion. Tonight we just want to worship God for who He is and who He is to us.

Magnificent- Matt Redman

Psalm 46:10
He says, “Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth.”

God calls us into a relationship. He loves us so dearly and wants to be with us! Our lives can always get chaotic with work and family, friends or study. There are so many things that pull us away from this beautiful relationship. But this is where our God is so good.

It is not up to us! On the good days and the bad days, He is still there! We just choose to not spend time in His presence. It’s not up to us whether God is near or His love is with us. And we can thank God for that! The magnificent Father is always, ALWAYS with us. If it was up to us, let’s be honest, we would hardly ever spend time with God! But it is not our choice to make God move close.

When we are still and let the chaos of this world fade, for even a second, we see the beauty of Christ all around us. We see Him in the hello from a friend. We see Him in the twinkling eyes of a loved one. We see Him is the trees, in the breath of the wind. We feel Him move all around us. We see Him in lives being changed and transformed. We see Him in the waves of the ocean. We see Him in every song and in every heartbeat.

God’s love is so loud and it calls out to us! But the clanging of the world seems to scream louder. That’s when we need to stop and let God move. Whether we feel like it or not. Whether we feel far from Him or close. Let His truth ring loud. So be still! Our God is so great! His love never fails and it never runs out!

‘…You never stop reaching to the place I am…’ Lincoln Brewster (You Never Stop). We feel God when we give Him space. This week, go for a walk, a scenic walk that is in a quiet place. Remember everything that God has given you. His love will ring loud. Soak in His presence and let Him anoint you with fresh oil. Also, I would like you to write seven (7) things that you are so blessed to have. Seven blessings in your life that make life beautiful. What are you grateful for?

‘You show Your majesty
In every star that shines
And every time we breathe
Your glory, God, revealed
From distant galaxies
To here beneath our skin
You are higher than we ever could imagine
And closer than our eyes could ever see
You are

Magnificent, You alone are holy
No one else as glorious as You
Magnificent, Jesus You are worthy
Who can shine as brightly as You do?
Magnificent
You’re so magnificent…’

Our God is magnificent. He is so lovely and so just. His grace pulled us out of hell and called us into a relationship with Him! He is so glorious. God is patient, God is kind. He does not envy, He does not boast. His ways are higher than ours, His thoughts are higher than ours. Our God is… Magnificent!

Thank you for joining us tonight! We pray that you get connected to God on a much greater level!

Songs to listen to:
Magnificent- Urban Rescue, Stand In Awe- Phil Wickham, Starmaker (High Above The Earth)- Phil Wickham.

God Bless

  1. Our God is magnificent. I enjoyed reading this one Gad. It was a great reminder of just how great our God is. Like you said, we can get caught up in the things we have to do and sometimes we don’t make time for God. That’s when we need to time to be still and remember He is God!

    • Yeah! I was going for my daily prayer walk… Thing. And when I stopped to have lunch God really met me there. In all my stress and all my distraction. He came to me, He opened my eyes in that moment. Then of course came all three of the songs that were mentioned in the devotion! (Well, I actually added “Starmaker” while I was sitting there)

And if you want to know where I had lunch…. Look at the post image. The title picture.
      Yep… Magnificent!
