Hey everyone! I hope you are having a wonderful week. I know that we usually focus on a scripture on Saturdays, but this was placed on my heart for today’s devotion. I really hope that you enjoy this message.
Jeremiah 1:5 – Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you appart; I appointed you as a prophet to the nations.
We are all born as a creation from God. He has made us all to be so unique and special in our very own way, even if we seem to be alike others. I have always found it so fascinating how many different people are on this earth, and where their passions come from, where their personalities come from. They are their very own gift from God. It all started with God, and all of His creations on this earth. He gives us personality and passion. Although, a lot of us try to be like others, and we don’t express our true identity which God has made us to be. We can get caught up in all of the materialistic things on this earth. We are never good enough to do something. We always never seem to have enough. We loose focus. We loose ourselves, and most of all, we loose our identity. The most important thing I have to deliver through this message is this. Our identity comes from God. We are all so unique through the eyes of Jesus Christ, and we are all so different. Through Christ was can always be identified as love, hope, kindness, faithfulness and all things which speak Jesus. We are not perfect, and God does not expect us to be perfect, but no matter what wrong we do, we are forgiven and washed clean from sin. Our identity is pure when we let Jesus Christ be our Lord and Saviour. We have clarity and direction of our path which the future holds, the path which has been paved out so perfectly for each and everyone of us. To the other people of this world who do not know Jesus, we can be seen as a part of Him through the things we do and the decisions we make. One thing I would really encourage all of you to do, is to never let go of your uniqueness and your identity, because that identity has been formed by God, the creator of it all. As we draw closer to Him, we discover our true identity.
God Bless you all,
