Day 2: Come To Me

Come To Me

Matthew 11:28-30

Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.”

God has called us to lay all our burdens and all the weight down. Jesus will take all of it, because He has already paid the price so He can take it all. So of us let our pride get in the way and we try do things ourselves, but this doesn’t work.

God has put the scripture on my heart because, like my earlier devotion, people today suffer with the fact that God accepts them. He calls to us and says, “Come to me. Give me your burdens and your troubles. Give me you broken heart because I care for you.” With God you are never too far gone… Jordan Feliz? No, we have Jamie Grace back again.

Come To Me- Jamie Grace

Come To Me by Jamie G, is an awesome that is based straight out of the scriptures. CCM teaches us about experiences other people face and how to go to come. They teach us prayers and scriptures. As Christians, we need to fill our lives with these songs and scripture. The enemy with come to bring us down but if we carry the Sword of The Spirit, we will be able to combat these attacks.

During this Christmas time we can often get so caught up in the shopping and the cooking and all that goes on. Jesus calls us to come and find rest. Marry was busy trying to please Jesus when He visited but Martha sat at His feet and admired who He was and who He is. Don’t stress and don’t forget the true meaning of Christmas. Jesus was born! He came to die for your sin!

So sit down, relax, put on some Christmas music (Not jingle bells, try “O Holy Night” or “Silent Night”) and listen to the words. Read your bible and start giving Jesus some space to move in your life. Let His love and peace fill you.

1 Peter 5:7 (NLT- I think)- Give (Cast) all your worries and cares to God, for he cares about you.

God Bless you this week. Don’t forget to enjoy Christmas, time with your friends and time with your family. God has given you every good thing. Every breath that you take is a miracle! Life is beautiful, so don’t let worries hold you down. God Bless!

  1. No worries Gad! Really great devotion my friend! Life can get busy, especially at this time of year. We can find rest, strength and renewal in Jesus, most importantly from our sin. We can leave our burdens and weariness with Jesus! It was amazing because as I was reading your devotion, God brought 1 Peter 5:7 to mind. I was thinking about what a great verse it was. Then I saw it at the bottom of the devotion. It can be so cool how God works! God Bless.
