Never Beyond Repair

Never Beyond Repair

Hey guys, we are back and we are fired up for sure. I am really excited to share this devotion with you all today because I really feel that God wants to share this word with you guys.

So today’s devotion is based off the awesome Everfound song, “Never Beyond Repair”. This is one of my favourite songs that appeared on Wow Hits 2014. Everfound only has one full length album but I really recommend you checking it out. “Never Beyond Repair” carries a message for Christians and non believers. And I believe this is another season in life that God will be emphasising. So, let’s jump in then!

Never Beyond Repair- Everfound

Jesus. The man who paid the ultimate price to save you, to save me. He came as a man to this Earth to be beaten and given up as a sacrifice for our sins. I don’t know about you but I am extremely grateful. Because of Jesus, I can walk freely like a new man, although I am clearly still a sinner. But this sacrifice covers all sin and shame. Some people don’t believe this and they think they are beyond repair. But this is so untrue. This price was paid by the only one who could pay it, and now He bought us from the slavery of sin.

‘…You’ve done what you promised that you’d never do
Your innocence’s gone and your fears coming through
How did you end up like this, feeling so lost?
Like your life is in pieces too broken to fix
And shames got you tied to a weight you can’t lift
But the biggest mistake that you’ve made
Isn’t too big…’

But you’re not beyond repair. As simple as that. All the mistakes and all the rubbish in your life has no effect if Jesus enters the equation. When Jesus enters your life He washes away all the past mistakes, no matter how big or how unforgivable. Look, I was praying and I really feel like some of you still won’t accept that every single one of your sins has been forgiven, but they have. Jesus sent them over a million miles away. Don’t hold back from God any more because of what you did in the past, just come to the father in total surrender giving Him all your sin and all your mistakes. Acts 2:38 really sums it up.

Acts 2:38
And Peter said to them, “Repent and be baptised every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins, and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.

I also believe that this world needs to know the endless bounds of love. I want to shine to the lost and the broken, and I want them to know the love of Christ through my actions. We don’t need to preach to them, just love them! Jesus loved people so shouldn’t we do the same? Yes. We just need love and if Jesus Christ is in us, then all these things are possible.

As some of you would know, I have had the verse, Jeremiah 29:11 on my heart ever since I was born. I have always been unsure about my future and what I want to do, but I have always said “God knows.” At youth we had extended worship and I heard God say, “Gad, that verse is not for you any more. It is for the lost and the hopeless, the ones who have no hope and don’t believe there is a future.” This was a game changer for me. God said that I need to apply what I have learnt to how I should love. People feel like there is no hope after sin, but we have Jesus and we know that’s not true. There is hope and freedom just in the name of Jesus.

Jeremiah 29:11
“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you a hope and a future.”

I have seen so many people fall away from Jesus because they let sin block them from a free relationship with God. There is no sin that is unforgivable. Jesus has made a way to forgive the most unforgivable sins. Whether is is a drug addiction, lust issues, hate, even murder. Look, you are never beyond repair, as Jesus has fixed you from any sin. I can’t stress this enough, it hurts me to see people feel so bad and far away from love! Love is one step away, no matter how far away you are. Just ask for the forgiveness because there is a beautiful and scandalous thing called grace! It saved us from the claws of death and stood by us even when we were guilty.

‘…’Cause you’re not beyond repair
Grace meets you anywhere
In the mess of your heart
Is where love’s gonna start
‘Cause you are, never beyond repair
You’re never beyond repair…’

1 John 1:9
If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

If you only take one thing away from this, I pray that it is the truth that there is hope and that you are free from sin.

Matthew 11:28-30
“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.”

1 Corinthian 10:13
No temptation has overtaken you that is not common to man. God is faithful, and he will not let you be tempted beyond your ability, but with the temptation he will also provide the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it.

God Bless you all. You are Never Beyond Repair!

  1. I went to publish it this morning at 8:30, but instead, my phone ran out of battery. It was up just before nine so I am sure it was fine.

This new topic has really set into my heart and I feel that this is very important, to God and to who He made me to be. People often find these topics iffy but if we don’t talk about them, how will people get through them. I am not ashamed to share God’s word to the people who need it most.

We will have another similar devotion coming out tomorrow but we really hope you enjoyed this devotion today. GO EVERFOUND. GO GOD!

    • Thank you so much Caitlin. That is so encouraging to hear. I had a blast writing it as God just spoke the whole devotion, I got to finally cover Everfound and one of my favourite songs on a Wow album.

I really had a peace with this devotion, I should probably read it myself as I don’t remember much of it as God seemed to write all of it. So thank you so much for this feedback as I am fired up right now!

I can’t wait for your next devotion!

      Go Jesus!
