In Your Hands

In Your Hands

Good evening Faith Filled Friends. I just thought, what better way to finish the HARD LOVE series with a night outro devotion. God has put this on my heart and I can’t ignore it!

Tonight I will be talking about the amazing band, Unspoken, and their incredible song, “In Your Hands”, to finish off the HARD LOVE devotion. This is of course a last minute devotion but when God says GO I will obey, and this was from God. I could have used numerous Unspoken songs but this one is the song that God put on my heart. This song speaks of an incredible message and I just couldn’t leave it off. So get comfortable, find a quiet spot whether it’s outside under God’s beautifully designed heavens, lighting up the night or just in your room, and enjoy the music and the devotion.

HARD LOVE outro and conclusion (special)

Scripture Saturday

In Your Hands- Unspoken

Life is full of challenges and pain, we face it daily whether we like it or not. God never said life would be easy, but he gave us grace and joy to make it through. Jesus made a way to heaven that we can all take through accepting the love of Christ and declaring that He is Lord. When we face trials, the Lords Holy Spirit will be in us and with us as the pressure is on.

Romans 5:2-5- Through him we have also obtained access by faith into this grace in which we stand, and we rejoice in hope of the glory of God. Not only that, but we rejoice in our sufferings, knowing that suffering produces endurance, and endurance produces character, and character produces hope, and hope does not put us to shame, because God’s love has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit who has been given to us.

We will face challenges in life and we will have to endure suffering. But we are not alone as Jesus Christ is with us and we will grow through these times of trail. This is truly Hard Love. With suffering comes endurance, with endurance comes character, with character comes hope and we need hope in this life. We want endurance but we have to stretch to develop it. I couldn’t run a marathon tomorrow, I just don’t have the endurance to do it. We need to train to develop endurance, and training is not always fun and let me tell you, trials are much less fun. Allow God to develop your character because in the end it is who you are and who you were that make a difference.

James 1:12 Blessed is the man who remains steadfast under trial, for when he has stood the test he will receive the crown of life, which God has promised to those who love him.

In this life we need to build our lives on the rock, which is God. We need to remain steady in the love of Christ. His love is loyal and He will always remain, never changing and always constant. Don’t be discouraged or beaten down by these trails and hard times, but allow God to change you and grow you into the best version possible. He knows you better than you know yourself, so why not leave it in His hands.

Jeremiah 29:11 tells us about God and His great plans for our lives. He holds all of creation in His hand, but He still cares enough to watch over you and protect you and also me! He has the best life for us, all we need to do is trust Him and allow His will to be done! He will never let you down. ‘…Every sorrow, I leave it in Your hands, Every sickness, I leave it in Your hands, All my failures, I leave them in Your hands, Amen, I leave it in Your hands…’ Every challenge and every pain in our life we need to give to God! Every sorrow, sickness, failures and all the mess ups. Grace is sufficient, and we are free from all the chains that held us down before.

Colossians 1:13 He has delivered us from the domain of darkness and transferred us to the kingdom of his beloved Son. We are free because of Jesus. No more sin and no more darkness can hold us down any more! Jesus is the true hero, giving His life as the ultimate sacrifice to save us. Hard times will come but know that He has been in your shoes before, surely He will help you through! Just leave it in His hands and watch as He brings healing and restoration. Our tickets into heaven have already been bought, let’s accept this and live crazy lives- 100% trust and faith in Jesus. That’s how we’re supposed to live. We were born to be crazy, Jesus lived one crazy life for sure!

Not only is God with us in the hardships, but He is with us always. Let’s not find it hard to pray in the pain or only pray in the hard times. Be thankful always, giving God all your wants and needs. He is your Father, and how much does He love us, sending Jesus to die for our salvation. ‘…Every promise, I leave it in Your hands, Every healing, I leave it in Your hands, And my future, I leave it in Your hands…’ Give your life to Jesus as He truly cares for everything about you. He is always thinking about you and just wants to spend time with you. Give Him some time, when you rise in the morning, when you go to bed, when you face adversity and when you feel on top of the world. Every good and perfect gift comes from God.

Psalm 34:17 When the righteous cry for help, the LORD hears and delivers them out of all their troubles. God will be there in the hard times, never forget. But in the hard times don’t curse God as He is growing you and He would never want you to suffer but that is the world we live in. Instead of blaming God, choose to praise Him for His love and His great plan for your life.

Acts 16:25 About midnight Paul and Silas were praying and singing hymns to God, and the prisoners were listening to them.
Paul and Silas chose to worship the creator of the universe for everything they had. Look at what God has blessed you with; family, friends, the beautiful world, love, music and freedom! We have eternal life because of the universes greatest sacrifice. Praise the Lord, for He is most high. His ways are higher than our ways.

‘…The day keeps coming pulling me a million different ways, I’m always running but never seem to catch the things I chase, When I’m with You my soul finds rest, Cause I can leave it in Your hands…’ Let’s face it, things don’t go our way all the time, but when we leave it in God’s hands and surrender to Him we will see breakthrough. We need to find our strength and our rest in God, nothing else.

James 1:2-4 ‘Count it all joy, my brothers, when you meet trials of various kinds, for you know that the testing of your faith produces steadfastness. And let steadfastness have its full effect, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing.’
Let your life be full of joy and see the good in everything! Jesus is the Lord of all and He has blessed us so abundantly.

If you liked the song, here is the acoustic version:

I want to end with this scripture as our prayer. I want to encourage everyone to draw into God this evening and every day from now onwards.

Ephesians 3:20-21 Now to him who is able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think, according to the power at work within us, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, forever and ever. Amen.

May the love and joy of Christ be evident in your life always. Through the struggles and in the high points. Look to God for wisdom and guidance, seeking Him alone. Work at doing everything for God, not to please other but to glorify the Lord, your father. (Colossians 3:23)

Jesus I pray that you use us, all of us in ways unimaginable. Let us use our gifts to bless others and glorify you. Let us always be unashamed of you, Jesus. Please help us to reach our true potentials by searching for you all our days. You are the only one, You are MY number ONE!! Blessed be your name.

Thank you for all the support! Thanks for following The Faith Filled Friends website and helping me with this series, it was pretty hard. Keep pressing into God guys, He has some great things for you! Remember to have fun, be happy, always full of joy and always full of love!

God Bless

  1. Hey everyone!
It’s Gad here. Look, to be honest I wasn’t ready to finish the HARD LOVE series yet. God has really sent me out on a band with this one! I actually read through it- that’s a miracle in itself!

I have been so blessed to have such great friends supporting me throughout this journey and I want to thank you all. Thanks to all the followers and people reading our devotions! I hope you have been blessed as much as you have blessed us! Thanks to our families who put up with all the music and for all the love. Thanks to all the artists and bands who live wholeheartedly for Jesus. Your talents have inspired so many of us and we are grateful for all your hard work!

  2. Two in one day! We are blessed to hear God’s word again once again from Brother Gad!! Well done once again Gad! This message is another great reminder of how we must leave it all in God’s hands instead of carrying everything by ourselves.

Like you said Gad- all our hurting, sickness, trials, joys, happiness and hopes are to be given to Jesus. May we live for Jesus and Him alone, in whatever situation we may face. It’s comforting to know we don’t have to face these things on our own! He is right beside us, carrying us! (You Carry Me- Moriah Peters)

I really love this verse from 1 Peter 5:7- “Cast all your anxiety on Him because He cares for you”.

    God Bless you guys
